There are 5 varieties of meat served from the skewer (sausage, spiced minced meat, chicken, lamb and beef) that are prepared by the chefs in the original Brazilian way. Local side dishes are chili, baked bananas, onion rings, rice, beans, manioc, potatoes and grilled Vegetables. All side dishes are presented on the table before the spit comes and guests will take from them as their taste wishes! In addition, a variety of meat sauces are served. Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh definitive activity-filled destination.
With its sumptuous dining options, spa, fitness centre, water sports, and luxurious guest rooms clustered like a hillside village above the shimmering drama of the deep Red Sea, Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh proves itself incomparable to those in the Middle East, catering to both the most adventurous and tranquil traveler.
For the more daring, a great variety of water sports are offered, including parasailing, scuba-diving, snorkeling, water skiing, kite flying, wakeboarding and kayaking.

In additional the Resort guarantees if they do not have a specific water sport on offer, it will be arranged through their concierge or Dive Centre. When it comes to those looking for more exciting and adrenalin-fuelled activities, no stone is left unturned.

In addition, the concierge can organise enlightening and enlivening desert excursions, such as Pharaoh's Island and the Coloured Canyon. Just off the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, Pharaoh's Island is not only one of the most scenic spots in the area, but is of great historical significance. The island has a long history of occupation from the Byzantines to the Crusaders, and in the year 1182, Salah El Din rebuilt the existing fortifications and strengthened its defences.

Although the Coloured Canyon does not have any historical significance, it is definitely a key scenic location, waiting to be discovered. Lying between St. Catherine's Monastery and the town of Nuweiba, its strange rock formations and dramatic colours make Coloured Canyon a popular safari trek for those looking to explore and examine the unknown.

For guests looking to relax and rejuvenate, botanical tours, such as the Flower Tour, are available. This is an hour-long identification and explanatory excursion of the plant species adorning the gardens of Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh, including the different tree types, cacti, flowers and fruits.

For guests interested in photography, the Sinai desert terrain provides a stunning and picturesque backdrop. Although the desert appears barren, it is in fact, rich with unique flora and fauna. With hawks, ospreys, eagles and other small birds soaring the sky, bird watching is another activity intuitive guests can enjoy.

Movenpick plans 19 new MidEast hotels
HR Magazine
Movenpick Hotels and Resorts plans to double the number of properties that it operates in the Middle East over the next three years as part of its major expansion in the region.

The Swiss-based hotel chain currently operates 18
properties throughout the Middle East (excluding Egypt), including all of the GCC countries except Oman.

It plans to open a further 19 hotels in the region over the next three years, including 12 in the UAE, according to Toufic Tamim, Movenpick's Middle East vice-president for sales and marketing.

Asked if he is concerned about overcapacity in the Dubai market, where seven new Movenpick hotels are planned, Toufic said, 'If you were to have asked me this question a year ago I would have said no. If you would have asked me three months ago, I would have said yes.

'Today I would say I am concerned, but it is a medium to short-term thing. Our hotels are opening pretty much early next year, so it is safe to say that we don't have big problems today because we don't have mega supply in the UAE as we only have one operating hotel (in the country),' he said.

The fact that the Movenpick's new hotels in the region will not be coming online until later this year at the earliest will work to the company's advantage as it would have been much more difficult to open them during a downturn.

'We are hoping that by early next year the current recession will start adjusting. I wouldn't say it will be totally turned around, but start adjusting. So we are confident that we will be opening the hotels in an upturn situation,' he said.

Two of the hotels opening in Dubai will be located on the Palm Jumeirah, others will be located in Deira, Jumeirah Beach and the Laguna area opposite the Dubai Marina, while yet another will be part of Ibn Battuta shopping mall.

Movenpick believes it is well positioned to withstand the downturn because it is a four-star rather than a luxury brand, and it has already started to see a migration of company accounts from luxury brands to its hotels across the region.

Second edition of 'Next Move' exhibition - Cairo
HR Magazine
The second edition of the Next Move real estate investment and finance exhibition was held from April 28 to May 1, 2009 at the Cairo International Conference Centre. The exhibition, launched last year with great success and praised by real estate investment experts in the Arab world, put together the biggest companies specializing in the areas of real estate investment, development and finance, and attracted over 30,000 visitors to around 20,000 m2 of exhibition space.

Next Move 2009 complements the Egyptian government's plans to expand infrastructure, reduce congestion and
control random urban sprawl within large cities. The government is realizing these through horizontal development into the desert hinterland around the large cities, with incentives to attract investments into new urban communities.

This strategy has been remarkably successful over the past decade, and has encouraged officials to facilitate national and foreign investments to manage and develop more of such projects.

Egypt's real estate sector provides many investment benefits, such as exemption from capital gains taxes and lower prices; in addition the country has several tourist attractions, a mild climate year-round, and its close proximity to major European destinations.

'Next Move 2009’ was an opportunity for various interested parties to reveal the secret of the stability of Egypt's real estate sector despite the effects of the financial crisis. The event offered valuable insights on how companies overcome the obstacles caused by this crisis, such as the diversification of products adopted by real estate development companies to meet the aspirations and needs of the middle class. Several foreign real estate investment companies were also showing greater interest in the Egyptian real estate market due to their potential for long-term deals,' said Ahmed Ghozzi, Chairman, ACG-ITF.

'Among the companies that have shown particularly strong interest in this market are SODIC; ORASCOM; NEW GIZA; Al-Futtaim Group; Talaat Mostafa Group; Al Rabwa; Arabia for Real Estate Development 'Saboor', Emaar Misr; Orientals for Urban Development; Palm Hills Development; Murooj; Construction & Housing Bank; Murabahat; Coldwell Banker; and several other leading names in this important sector. Thus, the agenda for the event was significantly expanded and used diversified methods to attract visitors, and provided excellent leisure facilities as attendees spend a long time at the exhibition,' he added.

'There is an opportunity for serious real estate development companies to firmly establish themselves in the Egyptian market during this critical period, as local conditions are different from those of other markets. A gap still exists between supply and demand, which ultimately contributes to the stability of the market in the long-term. The companies who figured prominently in the previous edition of Next Move have shown steady and confident progress in implementing their projects according to specific schedules and strong commitment to their plans. These same companies announced their new, planned, and ongoing projects this year,' said Yasser Ghazi, Chairman, Lead Marketing Solutions.

This year's edition of Next Move featured a series of discussions which extensively analysed how the economic downturn has had varied effects on the real estate investment markets of countries across the region. The exhibition also represented a perfect opportunity to communicate directly with real estate developers, investors, finance companies and banks, as it served as a window to explore the opportunities available within the growing Egyptian real estate sector despite the global financial crisis.

Next Move is the result of a joint cooperation between ACG-ITF, the largest exhibition organizer in Egypt, and Lead Marketing Solutions, a leading global company in project marketing.
